The Robotic Surgical Assistant or ROSA® knee replacement system is designed to help specifically-trained specialist surgeons tailor the positioning of your knee replacement to facilitate attainment of optimal function for your knee. A/Professor Kurmis uses this robot-assisted technology to achieve very accurate bony preparation cuts and component orientation to allow highly precise sizing, placement and fit for your knee replacement. The high levels of accuracy achievable with this technology further enhance optimised and patient-individualised outcomes.

Intellijoint ®

The Intellijoint® Hip System is a 3D mini-optical navigation solution designed to help surgeons orientate and position the acetabular ‘cup’ portion of a total hip replacement in real-time. It also allows accurate determination of overall change in leg length and hip offset as a result of the operation. It does not require complex pre-operative imaging nor expose patients to potentially harmful ionizing radiation, and is a validated method for accurately performing a total hip replacement. A/Professor Kurmis uses this technology to improve the reproducibility and precision of the critical implant component placement important for optimised patient outcomes.

iAssist ®

The iAssist® Knee System provides a compact and effective, electronic intra-operative navigation system designed to help surgeons align and validate bony resections in real-time. It does not require complex pre-operative imaging nor expose patients to potentially harmful ionizing radiation, and is a validated method for accurately establishing the intended final implant alignment in a total knee replacement. A/Professor Kurmis uses this technology to improve the reproducibility and precision of the critical bone cuts important for optimised patient outcomes.

MyMobility®

MyMobility® is a state-of-the-art digital interactive care plan designed in the form of a mobile phone application. The purpose of the ‘app’ is to help patients prepare for and recover from surgery by giving them the ability to take an active and supported role in their own personal care and recovery journey. It allows a connection with key members of your care team using your smart phone to support your pre-operative education and preparation, and also post-operative care and recovery as part of your individualised care plan.
The MyMobility® app allows A/Professor Kurmis to accurately review your preoperative function (including walking steps, climbing stairs, and heart rate) and then compare this to your post-operative achievements after your operation. If eligible, an Apple Watch® may be provided for those patients with a compatible iPhone who would like to have a wearable reminder for their exercises and capacity to assess preoperative and postoperative steps, stair climbing and heart rate.
